Overview
Prospero Teaching are seeking to recruit a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) into a highly regarded Primary School located in DT4 with an exceptional reputation for academic excellence, creativity, and a nurturing environment.

Duties

  1. Planning and delivering engaging learning activities across the curriculum.
  2. Supporting class teachers with differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  3. Leading small group interventions to raise attainment in core subjects.
  4. Providing one-on-one support for pupils with specific learning needs.
  5. Covering lessons as needed, ensuring continuity of learning.
  6. Supporting behaviour management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
  7. Encouraging pupil engagement and motivation to inspire a love of learning.

Qualifications

  1. Holds a HLTA qualification or equivalent (essential).
  2. Has experience working in a primary school setting, ideally across a range of year groups.
  3. Demonstrates a passion for education and a commitment to the holistic development of children.
  4. Is proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  1. Relevant Experience and Qualifications
  2. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

  1. Hold Right to Work in the UK
  2. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  3. Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
