Job Opportunity: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) at a specialist SEN school near Royston, on the Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire border. Location: Royston, Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire Border. Position: HLTA.

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
  • HLTA qualification (essential)
  • Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent)
  • Experience working in SEN school settings or with children with additional needs
  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Patience, resilience, and a flexible approach to learning and behaviour support
Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering planned lessons and activities under the guidance of the teaching team
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with varying SEN needs
  • Assisting in the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
  • Creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs
