Job summary

Academics is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support primary pupils across Langwith and surrounding areas. You will lead learning activities, monitor progress, and liaise with teachers to deliver engaging lessons under EYFS, KS1 and KS2 frameworks.

The ideal candidate will hold a BA Hons Degree in Education Studies or an HLTA qualification (Cache / NVQ Level 4), demonstrate confidence in managing classroom activities, and be willing to process an Enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• BA Hons Degree in Education Studies or HLTA qualification (Cache/NVQ Level 4) required.
• Proven ability to lead learning sessions and engage pupils.
• Willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS checks and commute across Langwith.

Responsibilities

• Lead learning activities for EYFS, KS1 and KS2 pupils.
• Deliver engaging lessons and monitor pupil progress.
• Collaborate with class teachers to support development and learning.

This type of role requires confidence, knowledge of the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 curriculum, the ability to maintain engagement from pupils and creative methods to keep pupils on course.
