Pay Rate: £99- £125 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to step up and take on more responsibility?

GSL Education are currently recruiting a confident and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support teaching and learning in a vibrant school in Hull. This role is perfect for an HLTA with the skills and experience to lead lessons and make a real impact on pupil progress.

Responsibilities as HLTA:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Supervise and lead whole-class learning in the teacher s absence.
  • Provide tailored support to individual pupils and small groups, including those with SEN.
  • Support assessment and track pupil progress, feeding back to class teachers.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements for the HLTA role:

  • HLTA status or relevant experience supporting teaching and learning at a higher level is desirable.
  • Strong behaviour management and lesson delivery skills.
  • Ability to support a broad range of curriculum areas.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with all gaps explained.
