HLTA - Secondary - Newham

£160 - £180 per day

We are currently recruiting for an HLTA. As a higher-level teaching assistant (HLTA), you would be responsible for managing classroom behaviour while ensuring pupils remain on task, completing the work that has been set. This is a long-term role working with one of our partner schools.

Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Newham

Salary Scale: £160 - £180 per day

Contract Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment.
  2. Provide high-level support to teachers, assisting in planning, preparation, and assessment.
  3. Work with small groups of students, tailoring activities to meet their specific needs.
  4. Contribute to the development and implementation of the school curriculum.
  5. Collaborate with teachers to assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback.
  6. Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements:
  1. Level 4 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (HLTA qualification) or experience as a HLTA.
  2. Proven experience as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  3. Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated teaching team.
