Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire • Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). Qualifications
  • HLTA qualification (essential)
  • Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent)
  • Experience working in SEMH school settings or with children with additional needs
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a nurturing approach to behaviour management
Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering planned lessons and learning activities under the guidance of the teaching team
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help them reach their potential
  • Assisting in the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
  • Promoting a safe, engaging, and supportive environment tailored to SEMH learners
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and external professionals
