Job summary

TimePlan Education Group in Eastleigh is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide PPA cover across Key Stage 1 and 2. The role is a long-term temporary position starting September 2026, with regular work roughly three days per week, and flexibility around those days.

The ideal candidate will have classroom experience, a calm and nurturing manner, and the ability to build strong relationships with children and the SENCO.

Qualifications

• This role requires prior classroom experience and the ability to support pupils across KS1/KS2.
• A calm, patient, nurturing approach is essential to support learning and behavior.
• Experience collaborating with SENCO and school staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement tailored strategies to support the child’s communication and interaction needs.
• Foster a calm, nurturing, and patient learning environment.
• Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to ensure the child’s needs are met effectively.
• Monitor and report on the child’s progress, adjusting support as necessary.
• Lead from pre planned lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) / Cover Supervisor in Eastleigh

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work with a school in Eastleigh on a regular basis. As a HLTA you will be working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage2 providing PPA cover for the class. You will be working from preplanned lessons provided by the class teacher.

This is a long-term temporary position starting in September 2026, ideally looking for someone regularly 3 days a week, though the 3 days are currently flexible.
