Job description

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at The Stanway School. If you're dedicated to helping students reach their full potential and are looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference, we would love to hear from you.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Planning and delivering learning to small groups and whole classes;
  2. Working one-to-one with students with complex learning needs;
  3. Supporting students with activities designed to enhance numeracy, literacy, and social-emotional skills;
  4. Providing cover if class teachers are absent;
  5. Promoting positive behaviour, raising self-esteem, and encouraging an aspirational culture;
  6. Working with SEN students to foster their development as independent learners.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience of working in a school setting (primary or secondary);
  • Ability to use initiative to resolve routine problems independently;
  • A commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proactive attitude;
  • A passion for working with children and helping them succeed;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Hours and Conditions

Hours of work will be between 08:00am - 4:30pm. The post is 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time, plus non-pupil days and one additional week during school closure periods). The working pattern will be discussed at interview.
