Responsibilities as HLTA:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the teacher’s absence and lead learning activities across the curriculum.
• Provide targeted support to pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis.
• Assist in planning, preparation and assessment under the direction of teaching staff.
• Support pupils with additional needs, including those with SEN.
• Help foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

Requirements for the HLTA role:

• HLTA status or equivalent relevant experience in a school setting is desirable.
• Proven ability to lead and manage classroom activities independently.
• Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A detailed CV covering the last 10 years with explanations for any gaps.
