This role is ideal for experienced support staff who are ready to take on increased responsibility and contribute meaningfully to pupils' academic progress.

Role Overview:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering high-quality education and may be required to plan and lead lessons independently across different year groups. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing learning experiences, supporting pupil progress, and helping maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities under the direction or absence of the class teacher.
• Provide targeted support to groups or individual pupils across Key Stages.
• Support the development of pupils' social, emotional, and academic skills.
• Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals.
• Promote positive behaviour and ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.

Job Requirements:

• Hold HLTA status or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Proven experience working in a primary or secondary school setting.
• Confident in leading whole-class sessions across various year groups.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with a sound understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
• A flexible, committed, and nurturing approach to pupil development.
• Have anupdated CV(covering thelast ten years barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
