Are you an experienced and motivated High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) ready to make a real impact in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are proud to be partnering with a specialist SEN school in Walsall, currently looking for a dedicated High Level Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role will begin in October 2025 and continue through to July 2026.

This inclusive and well-regarded provision supports pupils with a wide range of learning needs, including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). The Role

  • Full-time HLTA position
  • Deliver small group interventions and occasionally cover whole-class teaching when required
  • Support teachers in planning and adapting lessons to meet individual pupil needs
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with SEN, promoting independence and confidence
  • Help create an engaging, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to support pupil progress

About You

  • HLTA status (or equivalent qualification/experience)
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN in a mainstream or specialist setting
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
  • Ability to deliver interventions and step into whole-class teaching when needed
  • Compassionate, resilient, and committed to inclusive education
