Job summary

Castle Education is expanding its network of partner schools in Hull and East Yorkshire, seeking experienced HLTA professionals to provide flexible, high-quality classroom support across primary and secondary settings.

The role offers opportunities to lead small groups, deliver targeted interventions, and cover lessons under teacher direction, with emphasis on safeguarding and positive pupil outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Qualified HLTA with classroom experience
  • Ability to deliver planned lessons and cover
  • Experience supporting literacy, numeracy or subject learning
  • Experience with learners with SEND or additional learning needs
  • Ability to assess and monitor pupil progress

Responsibilities

Role:Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Pay Rate:£110 – £140 per day
Location:Hull & East Yorkshire

Are you an experienced HLTA who is confident stepping up within the classroom?

Castle Education is expanding its partnerships with schools and Multi Academy Trusts across Hull and East Yorkshire, creating opportunities for experienced HLTAs across both primary and secondary education.

Schools are increasingly looking for people who can offer more than traditional classroom support. This could mean leading small groups, delivering interventions, providing planned classroom cover or taking responsibility for learning activities under the direction of teaching staff. We therefore want to hear from qualified HLTAs and experienced education professionals who are comfortable taking that additional responsibility.

Your experience could include:
  • Delivering planned lessons and providing classroom cover
  • Leading targeted interventions and small-group learning
  • Supporting literacy, numeracy or subject-specific learning
  • Working with pupils with SEND or additional learning needs
  • Supporting assessment and monitoring pupil progress
  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement

We are recruiting for opportunities across primary and secondary schools, with full-time,part-timeand longer-term work available depending on your experience and availability.
