Are you an experienced and confident educator ready to take the next step in your support career?
Supply Desk is seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Brighton.

As an HLTA, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils across the curriculum, deliver small group and whole-class sessions, and help ensure high-quality learning experiences for all children. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and is confident stepping into a leadership role within the classroom.

You ll play an active part in planning, assessment, and adapting learning to meet pupils needs, working alongside an enthusiastic team committed to pupil progress and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading small groups or whole-class sessions in the absence of the teacher

  • Supporting individual pupils with specific learning needs

  • Assisting in planning and delivering differentiated lessons

  • Supporting classroom organisation and behaviour management

  • Collaborating with teaching staff and contributing to assessments and reports

Key Skills & Experience:
  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification

  • Proven experience supporting pupils in a primary school setting

  • Ability to confidently lead lessons across the primary age range

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic attitude
