A vibrant primary school in Stourbridge seeks a temporary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support teaching in Key Stage 2. This role involves teaching, assessing, and aiding children's development, while ensuring high standards in a welcoming environment. Applicants should have NVQ Level 4 or equivalent, with responsibility for class coverage and interventions.
32.5 hours per week.
39 weeks per year.
Hours of work: 8.45a.m. to 3.45p.m. with 30 mins for lunch.
Temporary contract.
Rate of Pay: Grade 7; SCP 18-23

Oldswinford Church of England Primary School is a friendly and welcoming school with an emphasis on promoting high standards.
In order to meet the needs of the school, the Governors have decided to appoint a temporary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).Therefore, they are looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual, who should be qualified to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in childcare, child development or education.
Duties will include: teaching whole classes to cover PPA and MRT; group interventions; class and group support; and course and absence cover for teachers primarily in Key Stage 2 initially but could be across the whole school at times. HLTAs are required to complete planning, marking, reporting, assessing and record keeping in line with school policy. HLTAs have responsibility for an area of the curriculum – which area is to be decided.
The school iscommittedto safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff tosharethis. The successful candidate will therefore require an enhanced DBS check. Proof of permission to work in the UK may also be required.
