Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - SEN Focus
Royston | Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm | Ideal for Aspiring Teachers

Are you an experienced TA ready to take the next step in your education career? Are you passionate about SEN and interested in progressing into teaching?

We're looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our forward-thinking SEN provision in Royston. This is an exciting full-time opportunity for someone who's confident in the classroom, eager to lead learning, and motivated to work towards teacher training.

What You'll Be Doing:
Leading and delivering learning sessions with small groups and individuals

Supporting teachers in planning and assessment

Contributing to the development and implementation of IEPs

Taking initiative in managing classroom dynamics and pupil engagement

Acting as a role model and mentor to less experienced support staff

Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience in an SEN setting or as a TA at a higher level

Confident leading learning both 1:1 and in small group interventions

Holds or is working towards HLTA status (or has equivalent experience)

Holds a valid Enhanced DBS (or is willing to obtain one)

Ambitious, reliable, and passionate about progressing into a teaching career
