Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to progress your career? Are you an HLTA looking for a senior role in a specialist setting?

A fantastic specialist school in Reading, Berkshire are looking to welcome a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the community this April! The school supports students with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, or complex needs. They are looking for a confident HLTA who is passionate about supporting students with additional needs.

Jobs of an HLTA:
  1. Guiding students and ensuring support within the classroom
  2. Learning students' individual needs and adapting classroom approach to suit them
  3. Extra responsibility of leading lessons
  4. Collaborating with SENCO to implement appropriate education plans (IEP's) for students

The school has excellent facilities and resources for you to make use of throughout lessons and supporting the students. As an HLTA, you will follow the school's encouragement of helping students develop independence and functional skills!

Previous experience as a TA is necessary - this can be in a Specialist, Primary, or Secondary education setting. A relevant degree or qualification would be beneficial but not mandatory. The most important thing is enthusiasm and dedication to supporting students!
