Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Primary
Location: Purfleet
Salary: £90 to £130 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in primary setting, you will take on enhanced responsibilities, including planning and delivering lessons under the guidance of teaching staff, supporting individual and group learning, and contributing to the overall development of students. You will work closely with teachers and leadership teams to ensure high-quality education and support for all learners.

Key Responsibilities of HLTA:

• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes.
• Support teachers in assessing student progress and adapting learning strategies.
• Provide targeted interventions to help students overcome barriers to learning.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with staff to develop and implement effective teaching practices.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
• Support the development of students’ social and emotional skills.

Requirements of HLTA:

• Hold HLTA status or equivalent qualification (or be working towards it).
• Demonstrate experience in supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students with diverse needs.

To work with us as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will need:

• The right to work in the UK.
• An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
• An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through us.
