Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Bridge and Mainstream)
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 3:45pm; Friday 8am - 2:10pm
The Brian Clarke CE Academy is looking to appoint a strategic, creative and proactive individual as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across the school’s Bridge and mainstream provision. The role aims to support students who are currently unable to access mainstream lessons due to complex needs, be that behavioural and/or SEND, with a view to students successfully reintegrating back into mainstream lessons.
The successful candidate would feel confident to implement pre-planned curriculums in Maths, English and Science to Key Stage 3 under the direction of subject leads. You should be resilient, flexible and enthusiastic with a sound understanding of effective pedagogies to support young people on an individual or small group basis.

It also incorporates the East Manchester Teaching Hub, Manchester Nexus SCITT and the Kinder Languages Hub, which support the training and development of new and existing teachers across the North West of England.
This position will be based at The Brian Clarke Academy, Oldham, but may from time to time require travel as necessary to collaborate with other schools which are all locally based.
