Qualifications

  • £27,269 - £28,624 pro rata (2 posts available)
  • 34 hours 10 minutes per week, 8.10am – 3.30pm Monday – Friday, term time, including PD days

Clifford Road Primary School are seeking to recruit a committed and passionate Higher-Level Teaching Assistant who will join the PPA team, forming positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents and uphold the strong, caring ethos and inclusive environment of our friendly and popular school. You will need to be able to form a positive and consistent relationship with pupils, focussing on creating a calm, secure and consistent working environment.

We are looking for candidates with an interest or specialism in the following:

  • Music
  • Computing
  • French
  • Art
  • PE
  • Design and technology

Whilst an HLTA qualification is desirable it is not essential.

You will:

  • have the HLTA qualification or equivalent experience of working in a primary school setting
  • have experience of delivering whole class teaching and/or supervising whole classes
  • understand and support the principles of inclusion for all pupils
  • have experience of classroom management
  • model excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • have a good understanding of how children learn
  • be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the children
  • be committed to raising standards
  • liaise closely with teachers.
