Exciting Opportunity for HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Exeter!

Are you an experienced HLTA looking for a new and rewarding opportunity in education?

TeacherActive is currently looking for a supportive and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support in a variety of primary and secondary schools in the Exeter area. As an HLTA, you will be a valued part of the educational team, providing high quality support to students, and assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading small group interventions and delivering tailored support to students.
  • Assisting with lesson planning and preparation under the guidance of department teachers.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to promote student progress and wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this if necessary).
