Higher Level Teaching Assistant Required (Epsom)

Contract: Term Time Only

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: £100-120/day (based on 6.5 working hours)

Hours: Part-Time/Full-Time

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a full-time HLTA. The ideal candidate will have experience working in small groups, 1-1 and be comfortable covering the class in the teachers absence. We require a flexible individual who is happy to work from EYFS up to Year 6. This opportunity is for educators happy to be available on a longer term basis and those open to becoming a permanent member of staff.

You will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, attending meetings, liaising with professionals, preparing resources, recording detailed observations and behaviour data, and contributing to a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the teacher in raising achievement for all pupils, particularly those with SEND
  • Assist with planning and assessment to monitor pupil progress
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and professionals
  • Supervise pupils during lunch and break times
  • Cover for the class teacher in their absence

Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
  • GCSE Grade C in English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification)
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification
