Educated Recruitment are a supply teacher employment business in its 10th year of establishment looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our supply agency for exciting part-time and full-time ad hoc supply opportunities in and around the Dawlish area.

The Job Role

Educated Recruitment are looking for a Dawlish-based higher level teaching assistant or cover supervisor with compassion and a desire to guide the young minds of our future. You will be able to adapt to different environments, engage students with invigorating ideas, and radiate positivity throughout the placement.

We cover day-to-day, short-term, and long-term supply, and are always on the lookout for Primary teachers, secondary teachers, cover supervisors, HLTAs, and teaching assistants to join our team.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

1. Small Group Interventions in years 7, 8, and 9
2. Primary interventions with Year 3 and 4 students
3. Covering Year 6 twice per week in the afternoons
4. Supporting students 1:1
5. Occasionally covering classes for staff absence
6. Supporting Forest School
7. Invigilating GCSEs

Higher Level Teaching Assistant Essentials

1. Previous experience working alongside children
2. Knowledge of the curriculum
3. A current DBS, or Update Service subscription (the agency can apply for this)
4. A 3-year minimum reference history
5. Reliability
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Located close to Dawlish or within commuting distance
