Higher Level Teaching Assistant Opportunity – Crook

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a welcoming and dynamic primary school in Newcastle to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the learning and development of pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learning and providing short-term cover for whole classes when necessary. You will also:

1. Collaborate with teachers to plan, organise, and deliver lessons.
2. Work with small groups of pupils for targeted intervention sessions.
3. Provide tailored support to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
4. Contribute to creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

This is a temporary position with opportunities to gain valuable professional experience.

The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm and a genuine passion for working with children, alongside the following:

1. HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
2. Relevant experience in a primary school setting.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. A nurturing and empathetic approach to supporting young learners.
5. A desire to inspire and make a positive impact in the classroom.
