Job description

Are you a qualified higher level teaching assistant with class leadership or PPA experience? Are you confident to deliver work planned by the Teacher in their absence? Are you looking for a role that allows you to take on more responsibility and work across a key stage? Are you looking for a committed post until July 2025 with the potential to become permanent in September 2025? If so, apply today!

We are after a L4 higher level teaching assistant or L3 teaching assistant with class leadership experience to support a Blackpool Primary Academy. You will be required to work across key stage 2 (years 3-6) covering Teacher PPA or absences. The work will be set and marked by the Teacher; you will be required to deliver the work. A timetable of classes and year groups will be provided to you as well as support. Due to the responsibility of this role, previous experience will be required.

This role is term time on a term time temporary contract to start April until July 2025, with potential to extend into a permanent contract in September 2025 based on performance. Pay is £14-16 per hour depending on experience.

We are looking for someone qualified, experienced, and committed who can provide consistency and support to this class for the remainder of the year.

Our Primary school is Blackpool based FY1 with local transport routes and parking available. The school site itself is a new build multi academy with modern classes and interactive resources.
