Higher Level Healthcare Assistant - A4
Band 3
Job overview

If you are an overseas national requiring a Certificate of Sponsorship from the Trust to ensure your Right to Work in the UK, note that this Band 3 Healthcare worker role cannot offer sponsorship if you are new to the NHS (or have less than 2 years’ service as a Band 3 in the NHS). In such cases, your starting salary would be £24,169.

This is due to a change in the salary threshold advised by the UK Home Office on 12th March 2025, which states employer sponsorship is only available for starting salaries above £25,000. If this restriction applies to your application, it will be automatically rejected prior to shortlisting.

The role involves supporting patients with hygiene, dietary needs, and medical needs, allowing for development of clinical skills and patient assessment to improve health and wellbeing.

Main duties of the job

As a Higher-Level Healthcare Assistant on Ward A4, you will be supported to expand your knowledge and skills by a dynamic senior nursing team and fellow healthcare assistants. You will care for patients with various surgical conditions, including stoma care, catheter care, surgical wounds, and complex treatment plans.
