Higher Level Teaching Assistant - SEND
Hours: Part-time (4 days per week, term time only)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £19,115 per annum (£31,000 FTE) + excellent benefits

The role
We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a specialism in SEND to join our dedicated and supportive team.
This part-time role is integral to our SEND department and offers the chance to support both Junior and Senior school pupils with a range of needs, to access our broad and challenging curriculum.
You will work closely with our SENDCo and teaching staff to deliver tailored interventions, providing high-quality, personalised learning support to help pupils thrive. Your ability to build trusting relationships and foster independence will help create an inclusive and respectful learning environment that promotes self-esteem, independence, and positive behaviour.
About you
We’re seeking someone with either a HLTA qualification or significant SEND experience, who is confident in adapting strategies to meet a wide range of academic, emotional, behavioural, and physical needs. A strong understanding of differentiated teaching, intervention techniques, and behaviour management is essential.
Ideally, you'll have previous experience supporting pupils in a senior or all-through school setting, along with a calm, empathetic approach and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
