Job Description:
Qualifications / Experience
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) including English Language and Maths or equivalent qualifications, or a higher standard of education, AND 1 year administrative/clerical experience.
  • OR NVQ Level II Business & Administration or equivalent, with 1 year administrative/clerical experience.
  • OR 3 years administrative/clerical experience.

6 months experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) is essential.

Additional Requirements
  • Hold a current full UK driving licence and have access to a car on appointment. This requirement may be waived for applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to an approved alternative transport.
  • Maintain a diary (electronic and manual), arrange meetings, and take minutes.
  • Manage filing systems and computer systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Show flexibility, effective time management, and the ability to plan to meet deadlines.
  • Organise complex material and prepare documents such as minutes, letters, reports, and presentations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Additional Notes

If applying on secondment, prior permission from your line manager is required.

Salary placement will be at the minimum of the pay scale, with potential for a higher starting salary if relevant experience is demonstrated. Existing HSC employees moving to this higher band will be eligible for AFC Pay on Promotion.
