Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking an Associate in the Global Credit Trading & Syndicate High Yield Desk within London. The role focuses on leveraged finance trading, generating revenues on secondary trades, managing desk inventory and evaluating new issues.

As part of the EMEA Leveraged Finance Trading team, you will collaborate with traders, sales, and external partners to set trading levels and contribute to market-making leadership in complex credit situations.

Qualifications

Experience in credit research, investment banking, or debt/restructuring advisory.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and with sales/trading teams.
Valuation and credit analysis training.
Financial modeling skills.
Comfortable with client interaction and presentations.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Experience in reviewing debt documentation and understanding legal frameworks.

Responsibilities

Review credits to identify profitable trading opportunities for clients and desk.
Work with traders to set prices for trading levels for credits.
Partner with sales to source and pitch trading opportunities.
Prepare ad hoc materials and presentations for the group and clients.
Network with market counterparts and advisors.
