Job summary

Professional Personnel Management Ltd is seeking a Catering Operations - Chef (Grade N2) for a 6-month temporary contract in the United Kingdom. The role runs a 40-hour week, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with rota across 5 days in 7 and a 1-hour unpaid break. Location is site-based with shift coverage to meet daily services.

You will oversee high-volume food preparation, uphold strict food safety standards, and support stock control while delivering consistent, quality meals for clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a commercial kitchen or high-volume catering environment.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in culinary studies.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve high-quality dishes per set menus and guidelines.
• Assist in managing kitchen operations during the 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM shift.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Support stock rotation, portion control, and waste minimisation.
• Collaborate with catering team to deliver excellent service to clients, staff and visitors.
