Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking an Electrical Service Engineer to undertake High Voltage authorisation training and service/ install monitoring equipment across the UK. The role involves extensive travel and autonomy as a technical expert within National Grid projects.

The position offers hands-on HV training and the chance to advance to leading roles on critical UK power network projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as Electrical Service Engineer in Industrial/Manufacturing/High Voltage environments.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the year.
• Willing to undergo fast-tracked High Voltage authorisation training.

Responsibilities

• Attend High Voltage distribution sites across the UK.
• Training from a Glasgow-based office and on-site with the National Grid.
• Help run projects once fully qualified.
• Train technicians and support their career development.
• Travel away from home 50% of the year.
