A leading engineering company is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to develop high voltage components and systems. In this role, you'll design robust solutions while ensuring manufacturability and reliability. You'll utilize 3D CAD and FEA tools to conduct prototype testing and refine designs. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical design background, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and demonstrable experience in GD&T. This role offers an opportunity to mentor less experienced engineers and continuously improve engineering practices.
Qualifications
Demonstrable experience producing mechanical designs across several projects.
Strong understanding and application of GD&T in accordance with BS 8888.
Ability to justify design decisions using engineering principles, calculations, and data.
Responsibilities
Design and develop HV components and systems including insulation structures.
Produce detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
Plan and conduct prototype and HV withstand testing.
