Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a Laboratory Jointing Technician to join the High Voltage Laboratory at Bishopstoke. You will support XLPE and fluid filled cable projects, assist in setting up high voltage tests, and perform optical fibre jointing and testing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Can-do attitude and willingness to work flexibly to meet deadlines.
• Experience in a similar role/environment desirable.
• Able to communicate at various levels within the laboratory management.

Responsibilities

• Work on XLPE and fluid filled cable projects, assisting high voltage cable jointers.
• Assist high voltage test engineers in setting up tests.
• Perform optical fibre jointing and testing.
• Assist with general laboratory housekeeping.
• Assist in plant maintenance activities.
• Perform degasification and filing operations related to cable terminations.
