Job summary

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a High Voltage Electrician to install, maintain, test and commission HV electrical systems in a manufacturing environment in the UK. You will ensure compliance with safety standards and internal procedures while supporting site outages and maintenance planning.

We value decades of experience and strong knowledge of HV equipment, induction motors, transformers and VFDs, with opportunities for career progression in a global, collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • HV engineer qualification required.
  • 5+ years’ HV electrician experience in manufacturing/testing environments.
  • Experience with induction motors, transformers and VFDs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee electrical work on schemes, testing and commissioning of LV/HV equipment.
  • Carry out RAMS reviews and switching schedules.
  • Perform maintenance and fault-finding on electrical equipment.
  • Provide technical input for infrastructure developments.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors on site activities.
  • Act as Authorised Person under Senior AP guidance.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The High Voltage Electrician will be responsible for carrying out installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of high voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards and internal company procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
  • Oversee electrical work on schemes, including testing and commissioning of Low Voltage and High Voltage electrical equipment
  • Participate in the creation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Participate in the preparation of switching schedules and carry out switching, isolation and earthing duties
  • Perform planned and unplanned maintenance activities on electrical equipment
  • Carry out basic protection testing on HV equipment
  • Undertake troubleshooting and fault-finding when required
  • Reactive to emergencies, site outages and changing circumstances
  • Provide technical input where required for infrastructure developments
  • Identify and resolve operational issues on site
  • Review and implement contents of site safety documentation / policies / procedures
  • Work with other business critical teams to create outage programs for maintenance
  • Liaise with suppliers and other contractors when performing activities on the Cathcart site
  • Act as an Authorised Person under the direction of the Senior Authorised Person.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Holds High Voltage Engineer Qualification

Over 5 + years’ experience as an HV Electrician in a manufacturing / testing environment especially on pumps / rotating equipment

Previous experience working with induction motors, transformers and variable frequency drives.

You must have valid right to work in the UK and be able to obtain security clearance to apply for this role.
