Job summary

Arctic Arrow Group is looking for a Power Cable Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot distribution and transmission cable systems in the United Kingdom. The role requires hands-on expertise in splicing, terminating, and repairing high-voltage cables. Candidates must have a journeyman certification or equivalent experience, along with proficiency in handling PILC cable. This position is based out of Surrey and pays in accordance with IBEW 258 union rates.

Qualifications

• Experience working with voltages from 12kV to 230kV.
• Minimum 1–10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Ability to obtain certifications in Confined Space Entry, WHMIS, and Asbestos awareness.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and repair underground electrical power systems.
• Splice multi-conductor cables for electric power or telecommunications systems.
• Interpret construction drawings to determine the layout of work environments.

Skills

Proficiency working with PILC cable

Strong oral and written communication skills in English

Ability to travel as needed

Education

Journeyman certification or trade qualification

Class 3 Driver's License or higher
