Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking an energetic, results-oriented individual to support the purification workflow on a client site in Boston, MA within the medicinal chemistry group. The role focuses on high throughput purification and development of improved methods for efficient separations.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of relevant experience with HPLC/SFC and MS, and familiarity with laboratory automation. This is a full-time role with regular hours and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biology, or related science with 0–1 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with HPLC and/or SFC method development for prep scale purification.
• Ability to generate and interpret mass spectrometry data.
• Knowledge of operation of liquid handlers and other laboratory automation.
• Ability to multi-task and deliver on multiple projects and targets simultaneously.
• Positive attitude, customer-oriented focus and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Purification of medicinal chemistry compounds in a high throughput automated environment.
• Developing and optimizing purification methods for specific compounds and classes of compounds.
• Operating and troubleshooting laboratory and open access instrumentation.
• Consulting with medicinal chemists to develop optimal solutions in accord with project goals.
• Analysis of complex mixtures and developing separation methods.
• Introduction of new methodologies in support of compound purifications and lab operations.
• Active participation in discussions in chemistry team meetings.
• Presentation of results to chemistry and project teams.
