Job summary

Talent STEM Ltd partnered with an established scientific and industrial organisation to recruit a Shift Laboratory Analyst in a permanent role based in Northallerton. The job involves high-throughput sample analysis, wet chemistry and instrumental testing, with reagents prepared for routine testing and data recorded accurately.

The role operates on a 12-hour rotating day/night pattern (4 on / 4 off) and requires a Chemistry degree with practical lab experience, plus familiarity with QA/QC and

Qualifications

Must have a Chemistry degree, with practical laboratory testing experience preferred.
Strong analytical data handling and attention to detail essential.
Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and ISO quality systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyse a wide range of samples in a high-throughput lab.
Carry out wet chemical, physical and instrumental analysis.
Prepare reagents and standards for routine testing.
Record, calculate and enter analytical data accurately.
Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
Support research and development activities on products or processes.
Work according to laboratory quality procedures and QA/QC requirements.
Follow SOPs, COSHH procedures and risk assessments.
