Job summary

Coveris in Burnley, United Kingdom, is hiring for a shift operator on a 12-hour day and night pattern, averaging 14 shifts per month. You will operate high speed Slitting Machinery, perform basic maintenance, and ensure quality inspections in line with customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Basic training provided for machine operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate high speed Slitting Machinery in the conversion of flexible packaging.
• Carry out basic maintenance to the machine (lubrication, clean-downs).
• Challenge machine low run hours, speeds and waste levels; adjust as needed.
• Carry out quality inspections and administration in line with customer specs and standards.
• Liaise with Shift Manager to report and fix engineering breakdowns promptly.
• Ensure machines have enough material to maximise uptime.
• Keep paperwork up to date and ensure correct labeling and wrapping.
