Job summary

Oriole seeks a PhD-level RF / High-Speed Electronics Engineer to bridge theory, simulation, and measurements. You will work at the intersection of RF engineering, signal integrity, and electro-optics to develop high-frequency systems interfacing with photonic components operating at multi-tens of GHz and beyond.

Qualifications

  • PhD in a closely related field and strong electromagnetics background.
  • Deep knowledge of RF/microwave engineering and high-frequency circuit theory.
  • Experience with full-wave 3D EM solvers and SI/PI concepts.
  • Hands-on RF measurement experience with VNAs and spectrum analysers.
  • Programming for modelling and data analysis (Python, MATLAB).
  • Ability to translate theory into measurements and results.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-speed interconnects and transceivers (drivers, TIAs, front-end).
  • Develop 3D EM models and analytical theories; validate with data.
  • Plan and execute calibrated RF measurements using >50 GHz instrumentation.
  • Co-design electronics with photonics for integrated switches and transceivers.
  • Support schematic reviews, lab debugging, and performance optimisation.
  • Analyse data and automate lab workflows with Python or MATLAB.
  • Communicate results clearly across multidisciplinary teams.
