Job summary

CPR seeks a Construction Assurance Manager to oversee ground engineering activities on a major high-speed rail programme. You will review earthworks, bridges and structures, ensuring work aligns with design and safety standards, on-site and within an integrated project team.

You will apply a risk-based approach, supervise NEC3 contract duties, and coordinate with quality, health, environment and stakeholder teams across multiple interfaces.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering background on large-scale projects including earthworks, bridges, structures or ground engineering.
• Experience with NEC3 contracts and Supervisor responsibilities.
• Knowledge of UK construction regulations (CDM) and construction safety management.
• Degree in civil engineering, construction or building science, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Review construction activity across earthworks, bridges, structures and ground engineering to ensure delivery matches design.
• Conduct site safety tours and apply risk-based assurance across contracts.
• Support management of interfaces across contract boundaries and with NEC3 project teams.
• Prioritise and plan workload for significant contract values while coordinating with quality, health and safety teams.
