Job summary

Cranswick PLC is seeking a Team Leader for night shifts in the High Risk team. You will oversee traceability, monitor machine setup and line performance, and supervise operatives to maintain safety, quality and efficiency on key poultry lines.

The role involves coaching staff on training, hygiene compliance, KPI improvements and timely issue escalation while ensuring correct product storage and packaging specifications are met. This is a full-time on-site position in the UK.

Qualifications

• Maintain product traceability at all times.
• Conduct preflight checks; ensure machine speeds are correct and no visual damage.
• Ensure lines are serviced with specification product.
• Ensure product size is reduced and packed to correct specification.
• Assist in training new and established team members as per production, food safety and technical protocols.
• Adhere to hygiene policies and maintain compliance.
• Ensure correct storage of products in the area.
• Supervise operatives daily; maintain performance, product quality, housekeeping, discipline and safety.
• Set up machines to correct speeds (NSA, Kronan, Maguirit).
• Record KPI and technical documentation.
• Communicate issues to manager promptly.
• Allocate operatives to work stations.
• Champion KPI improvement in the department.
• Act with urgency; manage team effectively and motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee night shift activities on high-risk lines.
• Monitor line performance and product quality to ensure safety standards.
• Coach and supervise team members, ensuring training adherence and discipline.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join High Risk team on nights as a Team leader.

The key elements of the role are:

• Ensure product traceability is maintained at all times
• To conduct preflight checks, checking the machine speed is set up correctly, no visual damage to the machine
• To ensure the lines are serviced with the required specification product
• Ensure the product size reduced and packed to the correct specification (orientation, product size, correct packaging used, etc.)
• Assist in the delivery of Training of both new and established team members as per production, food safety and technical protocols.
• Ensure the companies hygiene policies are adhered too and maintained at all times.
• Ensure correct storage of the product in the area
• Supervise operatives on a day-to-day basis ensuring that performance, product quality, good housekeeping, discipline and safety standards are maintained.
• Set up machines to correct speeds (NSA, Kronan, Maguirit etc.)
• To ensure correct recording of KPI, technical documentation
• Ensure all issues communicated to manager in timely manner
• To allocate operatives on work stations
• Champions KPI improvement in the department
• Act on decisions with the required amount of urgency
• Effective management of the team by motivating people and coordinating tasks
