Job summary

Cranswick Plc is seeking a High Risk Process Controller for B Shift Days at High Hunsley, Yorkshire. The role focuses on conducting safety and quality checks across multiple lines to ensure first-time-right products, maintaining hygiene and food safety standards throughout production.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at workstation 30 minutes before start of shift.
• Conduct safety and quality checks across lines.
• Ensure weight checks are within specification tolerances.
• Verify labels match specification.
• Complete gas checks to specification standards.
• Recognise CCP importance and escalate when needed.
• Escalate failures to Line Leader/Area Leader for action.
• Provide regular feedback to Line Leaders.
• Maintain food safety standards at all times.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) like hand washing and PPE.

Job Purpose

Conducts Safety and Quality Checks across a number of lines to ensure 'right 1st time'. Ensuring products exceed customer expectations whilst adhering to all required standards, meeting, and exceeding quality standards, achieving targets on time and in full, within budget behaving in a safe manner, ensuring Food Safety and maintaining hygiene standards.

Main Duties

• Arrive at workstation 30 minutes before start of shift
• Conduct Safety and quality checks across a number of lines
• Ensure weight checks are completed and are within specification tolerances
• Ensure Labels are verified and match the specification
• Ensure Gas checks are completed to specification standards
• Ensure CCP checks are completed and recognize the importance of a CCP within the manufacturing process by full Line
• Failures should be escalated to the Line Leader and Area leader to decide on action required such as stopping the line
• Conduct regular visual checks and provide feedback to the Line Leaders
• Ensure Photo standards are visible
• Complete line operation, product and process quality checks
• Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner during checks
• Ensure Line Leader and Area Leader are aware of any quality issues
• Maintain and adhere to Food Safety standards at all times
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices such as hand washing, PPE requirements, changing procedures, clean as you go

Requirements, Experience and Person Specification

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Successful completion or willingness to undertake training in L2 Food Safety and L2 Health and Safety Principles Group and site induction
• Understanding of relevant risk assessments and trained as competent in safe working procedures
• Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reportingMechanical aptitude
