Job summary

MSV at Brands Hatch is looking for a versatile and hardworking No2 Mechanic to join the Engineering team. You will assist with maintenance of our fleet of high-performance single seater race cars, 4x4s, Caterhams and Rally specced Toyota GT86s, plus various site maintenance vehicles to ensure we deliver market-leading motorsport events.

The role requires inspections, ensuring correct specifications, diagnosing issues with the Engineering team, supporting large-scale rebuilds, keeping paperwork

Qualifications

• A good understanding of mechanical engineering either already with or working towards a recognised qualification i.e. City and Guilds or a Level 3 equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence
• Pride in your work and want to complete tasks to the best of your ability
• A track record of meeting strict deadlines
• Willingness to work weekends as part of a rota

Responsibilities

• Assisting the team conducting thorough inspections and maintenance of our high-performance vehicles used for our corporate and retail events
• Ensuring that all vehicles are maintained to the correct specification
• Working with our Engineering team to determine the source of machinery problems and work to solve issues efficiently
• Working as part of our wider Engineering team to complete large scale rebuilds
• Ensuring that any paperwork is processed in accordance with the correct procedures
• Cleaning of vehicles inside and out so they are presented back for use in pristine condition after any work on them is complete
• Ensuring the workshop is clean and properly maintained at all times
• Being aware of, and ensuring compliance with, all relevant Health and Safety acts and guidance
