Job summary

Client Server is seeking a Software Developer / Engineer (C# .Net) in Newcastle for an onsite role with a salary up to £120k+. The team develops sophisticated software used by investment banks, hedge funds and asset managers, at the intersection of finance and large-scale distributed systems.

You will design and develop high-performance applications, APIs and services, collaborating with quantitative researchers and financial specialists to solve challenging problems in scalability and data

Qualifications

Minimum 2.1 in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related STEM discipline from a top-tier university.
Advanced C# .Net programming skills.
Strong knowledge of SQL databases.
Interest in finance/trading environment, with or without experience.
CS fundamentals: OOP, data structures, design patterns, algorithms.
Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership and leadership potential.
Collaborative and problem-solving attitude.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-performance applications, APIs and services supporting cross-asset trading, analytics and risk workflows.
Collaborate with quantitative researchers and financial specialists to tackle scalable, data-intensive challenges.
Work with modern C# and SQL technologies to deliver robust production systems.
Take ownership of components and lead small projects end-to-end.
