Job summary

Client Server is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure) in Newcastle to join a scaling Fintech building sophisticated software for investment management. You will own CI/CD, IaC, monitoring and operational tooling across Windows and Linux, leveraging Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes and PowerShell.

The role offers a full-time on-site position in Newcastle with flexible hours, a competitive package up to £130k, and career growth in a fast-paced startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• Academic record of achievement: minimum 2.1 at BSc in Computer Science or similar.
• Expertise with DevOps in an Azure environment.
• Software engineering background with C# or Python and strong scripting (PowerShell).
• Experience with Docker orchestration via Kubernetes.
• Experience with public cloud technologies: Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Knowledge of modern software engineering best practices.
• Motivated to join a startup and shape the role.

Responsibilities

• Build, automate and operate the infrastructure that underpins the platform.
• Own CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, monitoring and operational tooling.
• Improve developer productivity, platform resilience and deployment automation.
• Work across Windows and Linux environments using Terraform, Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate in a highly collaborative environment to deliver scalable solutions.
