Job summary

The ideal candidate has experience working with students aged 5-11 with moderate learning difficulties and Autism, and preferably holds a HLTA qualification. Job Title: High Level Teaching Assistant

Location: West Drayton

Contract Type: Full-Time (Term-time only)

Salary: £120 - £145 per day

About the role

We're partnered with an established independent school in West Drayton, dedicated to providing exceptional education for children aged 5-11 with moderate learning difficulties and Autism. The school is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team. You'll play pivotal role in supporting the educational development of the student.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons with the support of the teachers.
  • Lead a small group session or manage the whole-class teaching as and when required.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and teachers.
  • Provide targeted support to students with special educational needs, adapting teaching methods and resources to meet individual learning requirements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working with students with special education needs.
  • Preferably a HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Great understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
