North London NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Senior CBT Therapist to provide specialist psychological therapy to individuals with mental health problems. The role includes multi-disciplinary collaboration, conducting assessments, and implementing treatment plans within the CBT framework, aimed at improving mental health service delivery across North London.
The post holder will be responsible for providing specialist psychological therapy within the cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) model to individuals with mild, moderate, and severe common mental health problems in primary care and community settings, following NICE guidance and evidence-based practice. This includes triaging and screening referrals, assessing and treating suitable patients, reporting progress to referrers, and managing waiting lists. The post holder will collaborate with trainee and qualified psychological therapy practitioners, offer support and advice to colleagues, and participate in delivering mental health interventions such as outreach groups and workshops. Routine audit and evaluation of referred patients, in line with NHS Talking Therapies standards, is mandatory.
