Ncounter Limited in London is seeking an experienced Quantitative Developer (Python) to work with Quant researchers, designing and building the software that underpins research, analytics and live trading. This isn't a traditional application development role. You'll help create the tools, workflows and platforms that enable researchers to move quickly from

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Python development experience (4+ years).
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance or a similar technical discipline.
• Experience designing robust, scalable software.
• Understanding of data processing, storage and analysis.
• Experience with modern software engineering practices including Git and Agile.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with highly technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with Quantitative Researchers to build software supporting research and trading.
• Developing scalable Python applications and workflows.
• Designing high-performance solutions for processing and analysing large datasets.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to build reusable software components.
• Taking ownership from design through to deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Supporting business-critical systems within a modern engineering environment.
