Job summary

Driver Support Services in Ipswich is seeking a Grab driver to operate a HGV/Grab, delivering materials and supporting Civils/Groundworks teams. You must hold a Class 2 licence and digi-tacho, be physically fit, and able to work outdoors in varying conditions.

The role requires reliability, punctuality, and the ability to follow safety rules. Overtime and flexible hours are common, with paid overtime when available.

Qualifications

• Be reliable and punctual with good communication skills.
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence with Class 2 and a digi-tacho card.
• Be physically fit and able to perform manual tasks; PPE must be worn.
• Adaptable for varying hours and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect materials to and from our teams.
• Ensure the safety of the public and staff while operating the HGV.
• Assist with backfilling pipe excavations and trenches in the highway.
• Assist with signing, lighting and guarding of works.
• Remove construction waste to recycling centres and clear sites of debris.
