Grab Driver (Class 2) – 10‑Hour Shifts, Overtime

Job summary

Driver Support Services in the Purfleet area is recruiting a Grab driver to operate safely, delivering and collecting materials with HGV/Grab in support of Civils/Groundworks teams.

You must hold a full UK driving licence class 2 with Digi-Tacho card, Driver CPC, and be physically fit for manual handling and outdoor work; overtime and travel variability apply, with roughly 9–10 hours per day and weekends optional when work is available.

Qualifications

• Be reliable and punctual with good communication to ensure team and customer service.
• Have a Full UK Driving Licence Class 2 and a Digi-tacho card.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling; much work aided by machinery.
• Comply with PPE rules and safety procedures; outdoor, variable conditions.
• Be adaptable to changing hours; overtime may be required.
• Average 9–10 hours per day; weekends optional when work is available.
• Driver CPC, Digi-card and Lorry Mounted Crane certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect materials to and from our teams
• Ensure safety of public and staff while HGV operates
• Assist with backfill of pipe excavations and trenches in the highway
• Assist with signing, lighting and guarding of works
• Remove construction waste materials to recycling centres and clear sites of debris
