Job summary

Strive Staffing Solutions Ltd in Chessington, Surrey, is recruiting a reliable Class 2 Driver to join a busy landscaping and building materials supplier.

You will deliver materials across the local area, load/unload with HIAB where qualified, perform daily vehicle checks, and ensure paperwork is accurate. Working hours are Monday to Friday with Saturdays every other week.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 licence (Category C).
• Driver CPC and digital tachograph card required.
• Experience delivering building or landscaping materials advantageous.
• HIAB qualification/experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle to deliver landscaping and building materials.
• Load and unload materials, using a HIAB crane where qualified.
• Complete deliveries safely, efficiently and on time with accurate paperwork.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.

Class 2 Driver

Location: Chessington, Surrey

Salary: £38,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am starts, plus every other Saturday (4–5 hours)

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join a busy and growing landscaping and building materials supplier based in Chessington.

You will be responsible for delivering a range of landscaping and construction materials to customers across the local area, including timber, fencing, aggregates, paving and other building supplies.

We are looking for a professional driver with a strong work ethic and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Previous experience delivering building or landscaping materials would be beneficial.

HIAB experience and a valid HIAB qualification would be an advantage but are not essential, as we are also interested in hearing from Class 2 drivers looking to develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle to deliver landscaping and building materials.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.
• Load and unload materials, using a HIAB crane where qualified and required.
• Deliver excellent customer service at delivery locations.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
• Comply with road safety regulations and health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional and helpful attitude when dealing with customers.

The Ideal Candidate

• Hold a valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Hold a valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
• Have a safe and responsible approach to driving.
• Be reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Have good communication and customer service skills.
• Previous experience delivering building or landscaping materials would be beneficial.
• HIAB experience and a relevant qualification would be advantageous but are not essential.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00am.
• Every other Saturday, working approximately 4–5 hours.
